Mount Coolum is a giant volcanic dome that sits less than 4km from Coolum Beach. Allow about an 1 and a half hours for the full circuit. Once you’ve reached the summit, take in the stunning view of the coastline and back towards the hinterland. Reward yourself with a swim at the beach afterwards.

  1. Coastal Walk at Point Arkwright – 14 minutes

Between Coolum Beach and Yaroomba you’ll find Point Arkwright. 3 hidden bays, appropriately named First Bay, Second Bay and Third Bay. Start at the carpark, wrapping around the headland with uninterrupted views of the ocean.

  1. Mudjimba – 3 minutes

Only a stone’s throw away from the resort you’ll find Mudjimba Beach. The patrolled beach makes for the perfect day out with the family. You’ll find excellent fishing spots, surf breaks, playgrounds and a view of the iconic Mudjimba Island.

  1. Shopping at Sunshine Plaza -  14 minutes

Shop till you drop at the Sunshine Coast’s biggest shopping centre! Surrounded by plenty of activities to keep both the kids and the parents happy. When you’ve had enough of the crowds, head down to Cotton Tree and choose between splashing in the waves or relaxing in the river.

  1. Visit Hinterland town of Mapleton – 30 minutes

Take a day trip out to the beautiful town of Mapleton. Enjoy breathtaking views of rolling green hills and out to the ocean from the Mapleton Falls Lookout Platform located at the end of Mapleton Falls Road.
