Unique new family friendly dining experience at Novotel Twin Waters Resort

The Sunshine Coast is famous for it's sunshine drenched coastline, beautiful beaches, relaxed culture and balmy afternoons but until recently offered limited options for combining the adoration of these things with a family friendly outdoor dining experience. As the weather began to heat up last year, the team at Novotel Twin Waters Resort had an idea to introduce a brand new concept to the Sunshine Coast that would perfectly blend the latest style trends with casual dining, live music and the natural outdoor allure of the location that we're lucky enough to call home.

In September 2017, sprouting from a simple idea to create a unique family friendly environment without compromising on food and beverage quality or service and set in a location that was second to none; 'The Shore Sundowner Lounge' was born. Possessing the ideal backdrop on the north shore of the resorts private lagoon provided a wide sandy beach, luscious lawn area and views of the setting sun as it fades behind the pandanus trees and disappears beyond the resorts silhouette across the lagoon. Upcycled wooden palletes create environmentally sustainable and trendy seating areas on the beach while presenting guests with the ultimate sand between your toes sensation. Complementing the unique venue concept is our very own restored 1977 caravan which has been refurbished into a trend-setting fully functional mobile bar and the 'built from scratch' pizza oven and BBQ trailers serving up the contemporary quality menu.

Since it's inception and launch at the beginning of the September 2017 school holidays, The Shore Sundowner Lounge has been embraced by resort guests and become a locals favourite with many regularly returning. The unique outdoor dining experience which was originally launched to fill a void during school holidays on the Sunshine Coast has surpassed expectations after accomplishing its initial objective and consistently receives outstanding feedback from guests.

Feedback from holiday makers in December 2017 - We enjoyed another very relaxing family holiday, there's something for everyone at the resort. Very positive experience. Lovely friendly staff. Clean modern rooms. Very peaceful setting. So much to do! Loved the lake and pool. Was also very happy about "The Shore" - that was outstanding and perfect for us as we are a young family and the children could just run around and play on the beach/lawn. "The Shore" made a huge difference to our dinner times as our children (3 and 5 years) aren't great in restaurants.

Open every Saturday & Sunday 4pm to 8pm [weather permitting] - The Shore Sundowner Lounge
